Endorsement

« Back to Glossary Index

An endorsement, also known as a ‘rider,’ is a formal amendment that changes the terms of your standard insurance policy. Endorsements can add coverage (such as for a high-value jewelry collection), delete coverage, or change deductibles. In the market, popular endorsements include Sewer Backup protection, Service Line coverage, and Cyber Insurance. Adding endorsements allows you to customize a basic HO-3 form to fit the specific risks associated with your lifestyle or location.
